2014年3月12日，俄羅斯以一演員看上去過於年輕而導致部分觀看者認為是未成年人的理由封禁 Pornhub[25][26]。 2016年9月，由於「向兒童傳播有害資訊」，Pornhub在俄羅斯被封鎖，在指定觀看用戶年齡後，於2017年4月恢復。 2019年2月11日起，韓國以「打擊非法色情，保護青少年健康成長」等理由封鎖Pornhub，並採用了SNI阻斷技術，韓國用戶需要使用VPN等軟件來繞過封鎖。 2012年10月網站發動了一個名叫「拯救乳房！」的針對乳癌認識與科研的慈善籌款活動。觀眾每觀看30個大乳房或者小乳房影片，網站就會向乳癌研究機構捐獻一分錢[12][13]。
2011年歐洲寬頻提供商TalkTalk集團（舊名 Tiscali）由於未能有效的封鎖Pornhub而被批評逾一星期，理由是關於兒童網絡安全的話題[22]。自2009年以來，世界上三大色情網站分別為 RedTube、YouPorn和Pornhub，它們的總訪問量約為一億人次[5]。 Komen基金會拒絕Pornhub的捐款以後，Pornhub宣布它們將會尋找其它的乳癌慈善基金會作為受益者[14]。 Pornhub最終捐獻了75000美元給包括Eileen Stein Jacoby 基金會和癌症Sucks公司等各類慈善機構[15]。

2010年，Pornhub和其旗下的YouPorn、RedTube等同類網站組成全球最大的色情影片聯盟。另外，Pornhub將組建Red Team團隊，審查網站上潛在的違法內容[45]。 2024年2月，美國德克薩斯州的總檢察長起訴Pornhub，指控其不遵守該州的法定年齡驗證法，該法律通常要求透過使用身份證件進行年齡驗證[32][33][34]。 2016年，Pornhub宣佈聯手全球最大的男同志網站Visual Reality Gay，推出世界上第一個 VR（虛擬實境）男男同性色情片平台。屆時Pornhub將會向用戶免費提供身臨其境的VR男男同性色情片，觀眾可以透過市面上大部分的VR頭盔來觀看影片[16]。
2018年，Pornhub指出部份地區的居民往往因為具有特殊意味的地名而被取笑。為了彌補他們，Pornhub將免費讓居民升級為「Pornhub Premium」高級會員，終身享有免費觀賞高清影片（英語：High-definition video）成人影片的資格。此外，Pornhub亦稱，若自認居住地名有性意味卻不在公布名單內者，可在推特或Instagram分享標籤#PremiumPlaces，通過審核後便可獲得認證，與前述地區享有相同的終身免費高級會員資格[18]。
