  • What Hanfu styles are best for spring and fall?

Posted by Greg Schulte on March 1, 2025 at 1:33 pm

Spring and fall can be tricky, especially with the temperature changes throughout the day. What kinds of Hanfu would be good for these seasons? Can I pair it with jackets or outerwear without ruining the traditional feel? What’s the best way to stay comfortable and stylish in Hanfu when the weather’s a little unpredictable?

Spring and fall are tricky seasons, right? The weather can change pretty quickly, so you need something that adapts. For these transitional months, Hanfu made from breathable fabrics like cotton and linen works best. You can still layer up if it gets colder, but the materials will keep you comfortable no matter the temperature.

Earthy tones, like muted greens, browns, and pastel colors, work well for these seasons. They’re not too bright like summer colors but still give off that fresh, seasonal vibe. A few layers won’t hurt, but don’t go overboard with the complexity of the outfit. You want something easy to move in and practical for the weather.

Spring and fall? Ruqun all the way—light layers, breezy vibes. I rock a pastel one in spring, then switch to earthy tones for fall. Can’t go wrong!

Uh, I’d say something not too heavy? Maybe a short Beizi with a skirt? Saw it online, looked nice for cool days. I’m still guessing here!

Qixiong skirt with a flowy top—perfect for both! Spring gets soft pinks, fall goes mustard or rust. It’s that seasonal poetry I live for!

Mamian skirt and a loose jacket, hands down. Works in spring with bright colors, then fall with a scarf. Chill and stylish, no fuss!

Song-style sets are my go-to—light enough for spring, layer up for fall. I’ve done floral vibes then swapped to deeper greens. So dope!

Maybe a Hufu set? Seems comfy for both, not too hot or cold. I’d pick light blue for spring, maybe brown for fall—feels right!
