• Dealing with fading Hanfu

I’ve noticed that my Hanfu is starting to fade a little after a few washes. Is there anything i can do to stop that from happening, or to fix it? I don’t want to ruin the fabric’s color. How do you guys deal with fading? Are there ways to preserve the color and keep it looking fresh?

If your Hanfu is starting to fade, there are a few things you can do to restore its color. First, wash it in cold water with a mild detergent—hot water can speed up fading. Avoid harsh chemicals or detergents that could weaken the fabric. If the color has already faded, soaking your Hanfu in cold water with a little vinegar can help bring it back to life. After washing, always dry it in the shade, as direct sunlight can cause further fading.

Fading? Wash it cold, inside out—saves the color! My Ruqun’s still popping after tons of wears. Spot-treat if you can!

Uh, mine faded a bit—oops! Maybe hand-wash it? I’d prob just wear it anyway, still looks okay!

Protect the art! Gentle cycle, mild soap—my silk Weichang stays vibrant. Fading’s a tragedy otherwise!

Eh, fading happens. Cold water, hang dry—I’ve kept my Mamian skirt decent. No biggie if it’s a little worn!
