Are There Casual Hanfu Styles for Parties?
I’m thinking about wearing Hanfu to a friend’s party, but I don’t want to look too formal, especially with those complicated designs. Does anyone have recommendations for modernized or slightly modified Hanfu that I could wear? Something comfortable but not too ‘theatrical.‘

For a party, look for more modernized Hanfu styles with simpler, lighter designs. There are contemporary versions of Hanfu that have less structure but still keep that traditional aesthetic. Look for pieces with less heavy fabric and maybe a more fitted style to make them feel more casual. You can also opt for Hanfu-style dresses or tunics that are comfortable, stylish, and less formal.
