Overseas Hanfu Communities in the Spotlight

Let’s take a closer look at the activities of Hanfu Tianxia around the world—sparking passionate discussions and drawing global attention. For years, Hanfu Tianxia has worked hard to bring Hanfu and Chinese traditional culture onto the world stage, earning admiration from people across many countries.
At the same time, many overseas Hanfu enthusiasts have formed their own organizations to promote Hanfu and Chinese culture to people of different backgrounds and languages. Many of these groups have maintained long-term friendly relationships with Hanfu Tianxia and are key partners in the shared mission of cultural exchange and revival.
Hanfu Association of Europe
The Hanfu Association of Europe is the first multinational cultural exchange organization founded by traditional culture revivalists from across Europe. They’ve led many European Hanfu enthusiasts to participate in the Liyue Conference, showcasing the elegance of Chinese rituals and clothing.

Hanstyle UK
Established in September 2008 in London, Hanstyle UK has hosted a wide variety of cultural events aimed at reviving Hanfu and traditional Chinese values. Through these efforts, they’ve helped increase national pride and awareness. Members of Hanstyle UK have also actively participated in the Liyue Conference, representing the UK Hanfu community.

Chinese Cultural Research and Exchange Association in Germany
As the largest Chinese culture promotion group in Germany, this association has crossed oceans many times to take part in the Liyue Conference in China, celebrating traditional Chinese rituals and music on an international stage.

Huaxia Pavilion Canada
Since its founding, Huaxia Pavilion Canada has consistently organized Chinese cultural exhibitions in its local area. These events offer overseas Chinese and international audiences a deeper understanding of traditional Chinese heritage. Canadian Hanfu lovers have also become a regular presence at the Liyue Conference.
At the 6th Liyue Conference, the German Chinese Cultural Research and Exchange Association and Huaxia Pavilion Canada signed strategic cooperation agreements with Hanfu Tianxia. This marked a new step in strengthening partnerships and promoting Chinese traditional culture both at home and abroad, playing an important role in the Belt and Road Initiative.

France Boyan Han Culture Society
Another long-time partner of Hanfu Tianxia is France Boyan, which is also part of the Hanfu Association of Europe.
Officially named France Boyan Han Zhang Traditional Studies Society, this organization brings together scholars and enthusiasts of classical Chinese culture. Their mission is to study and share the deeper meaning behind Han Chinese traditions. France Boyan runs one of the largest branch networks among European cultural organizations, tirelessly working to reshape the world’s impression of Chinese heritage.

At this moment, Zheng Wei, the president of Hanfu Tianxia, has arrived in France to attend the Cannes Film Festival. He has also invited members of France Boyan to join in showcasing the beauty of Hanfu on one of the world’s most prestigious stages. This marks a new chapter in bringing Hanfu to the global spotlight. Let’s look forward to seeing Chinese culture shine at this year’s Cannes Film Festival!
