Song dynasty hands down. High waist + loose fit + vertical pleats = very flattering on almost every body shape.

Tang style can be great if you like curves, but the very open neckline and big sleeves can be unforgiving if you’re self-conscious about shoulders/arms.

Ming style is surprisingly forgiving too (especially straight-robe styles), but avoid the super wide belt if you don’t want to emphasize the waist.

Avoid very early Han styles if you’re curvy — the narrow sleeves and tight waistbands can feel restrictive.
