Is hanfu the same as a qipao?
View more comments-
Nope! Hanfu’s ancient, loose-fitting styles from various dynasties.
-
Qipao’s from the 1920s Shanghai scene—tight and modern, totally different vibe.

What’s the difference between Tang Dynasty hanfu and Ming Dynasty hanfu?
-
Tang hanfu is super vibrant with high-waisted skirts and wide sleeves—very open vibes.
-
Ming’s more refined, though. Think horse-face skirts and stand collars, plus those huge sleeves!
