At first yes, now I just smile and say “It’s traditional Chinese clothing — hanfu.” Most people are curious, not rude.

I usually reply “Yeah kinda, but the cool historical kind” — keeps it light and opens the door for nice conversations.

The worst is when kids point and yell “princess!!” — that’s actually adorable though, I just wave back lol.

After a while you realize 90% of people are either neutral or genuinely interested. The haters are loud but very few.
