[Hanfu Travel] She’s Snapped Hanfu Pics Across Dozens of Countries, Conquering the World with Just One Photo
Lately, a single image has been flooding my feed,
not just for its stunning beauty,
but because the creator perfectly blended Hanfu with the scenery.
All photos in this article are © Dang Xiaoshi.

This standout shot was taken in Thailand,
so even Thailand’s biggest websites picked it up and shared it!
Netizens couldn’t stop raving—
“Hanfu is so gorgeous!!!”
“Mind-blowingly stunning!!!”

The mastermind behind these shots is Dang Xiaoshi, a girl from Sichuan who spends most of her time wandering Beijing.
Like many, she used to shoot “commercial gigs” for a living. But with a huge love for “national style,” she’d sneak in some ancient vibe photos on the side.

At first, she snapped these just for fun with the ancient look, but everything changed with one “invite.”
A friend’s wedding call led her to Nepal to shoot wedding photos.

After some thought, Dang Xiaoshi pitched a “Hanfu-themed” shoot to her friend.
It started as a meaningful wedding gift, but the photos exploded online, with media everywhere buzzing about it.
Seeing the endless praise for Hanfu online, she realized culture’s power runs deep.
That “accidental” shoot opened her eyes to culture’s strength.
So, she launched the “Travel with Hanfu” project online— and wow, the response was huge, even pulling in “Star Girl” Xu Jiao!

Deep in the forest, deer appear; by the blue sea, whales emerge; in dreams, I see you.

Xu Jiao’s Hanfu street shots in Japan sparked a ton of online buzz.
Along with the hype came some “criticism”—calls of attention-seeking or hype—but that didn’t faze Dang Xiaoshi. Those waves of attention only deepened her love for culture’s charm.

Becoming a photographer still feels surreal to her.
Her college major was painting, and she only picked up photography out of curiosity near graduation—never dreamed she’d end up here.

▽ USA
Pair Hanfu, music, and American energy, and you get a unique spark. Dancing with the music, robes fluttering in the wind—pure eye candy.

Now, mention ancient-style photography, and she’s the first name that pops up. Though she’s carved a spot in the photography world, Dang Xiaoshi stays humble.

Learning, traveling, shooting—she never stops.
To make her photos pop, she even took courses on ancient makeup and styling…

Success is hard, but staying true after success is tougher.
The “Travel with Hanfu” project kicked off in 2014, and she’s still at it today.

She’s shot across the globe, with tons of jaw-dropping pics. But the real stunner? Hanfu paired with China!

As the saying goes: “Wear my Han attire, uplift the land of rituals.”
Hanfu flows like the wind—free and bold yet graceful and poised.
Ancient folks turned that vibe into vibrant colors and versatile makeup, and it’s that inclusive, confident spirit that truly moves people…

The “Travel with Hanfu” journey keeps rolling, with more folks feeling culture’s pull.
Its charm is so strong that standing there, you don’t need heaps of praise—you radiate natural elegance and dignity.
Because the clothes you wear reflect the heart you hold.
(Men’s Hanfu can be super cool too)

Beyond Hanfu, she hopes all of China’s traditions thrive today, bloom in the future, and keep flowing with endless wonder.
