Hanfu can be heavy, and in summer, it might feel a bit too warm. But there are ways to stay cool while still rocking your Hanfu:
Choose lightweight fabrics: Go for natural fabrics like cotton, linen, or silk, which are breathable and light. These materials will keep you cool without sacrificing style. Opt for simpler designs: Skip the multiple layers if you don’t need them. A basic Ruqun or single-layer robe can be airy and comfortable, even on warmer days. Avoid heavy accessories: Keep accessories to a minimum. Too many layers or accessories can make the outfit feel hot and stuffy, so go for simpler, lighter options. Stay in the shade: If you’re attending an outdoor event, try to stay in the shade or bring a parasol to help protect yourself from the sun and keep cool. With these adjustments, you can wear Hanfu comfortably during the summer without feeling overheated!
