  • What’s new with Hanfu culture? Any recent trends?

Posted by MP on March 1, 2025 at 4:22 pm

It seems like Hanfu culture has been getting more attention lately, especially with young people. Are there any new things happening with Hanfu right now? I’ve heard about some universities getting involved, or even seeing more shops or events popping up. Is there a shift in how it’s being embraced or a new trend I should know about?

Hanfu culture has been gaining a lot of momentum, especially among younger generations. Recently, there’s been a major push for Hanfu’s integration into schools and universities. Some campuses are even hosting Hanfu events, lectures, and even competitions as a way of connecting students to their cultural heritage. It’s all part of a bigger movement to bring traditional Chinese clothing back into modern life.

There are also new trends emerging within the Hanfu world. For example:

    · Modernized Styles: Some people are adapting Hanfu to fit modern fashion trends. You’ll see younger people wearing simplified versions of Hanfu for daily wear, or even mixing traditional pieces with casual wear.

    · Online Communities: The rise of online platforms has also played a huge role in spreading Hanfu culture. Social media influencers and Hanfu enthusiasts are sharing their experiences, creating tutorial videos, and even launching their own clothing lines.

It’s all part of making Hanfu feel more accessible and relevant in the 21st century.

Hanfu-meets-streetwear! Think hoodies under beizi coats or neon-lit embroidery. The Hangzhou Fashion Show blew minds with glow-in-the-dark sleeves.

Eco-Hanfu is trending: Recycled silk and plant-dyed fabrics. Brands like Ming Reverie even rent outfits to reduce waste.
