So, color combos with Hanfu can be tricky, right? I don’t want to end up looking like I’ve mixed all the wrong colors together. I’m still learning, so do you have any tips on what color pairings look good with Hanfu? I really don’t want to mess it up and make it look weird. What should I avoid as a beginner?

Color matching with Hanfu is one of those things where, the more you play around with it, the easier it gets. Here’s what I learned:

    · Stick with one main color: If you’re a beginner, pick one color you like as the base of your Hanfu. Bold colors like red, blue, or green are great choices. Once you have that, you can build your accessories around it.

    · Complementary colors: If your Hanfu is bold, try matching it with more neutral or lighter-colored accessories, like a cream-colored belt or white ribbons. It’s all about making sure the colors don’t compete with each other.

    · Avoid clashing colors: If you’re new to color matching, just be careful not to mix too many bright, bold colors in one outfit. Stick with complementary shades to keep things balanced and easy on the eyes.

When in doubt, go for simple, neutral tones, and you won’t go wrong. It’s all about balance.

Stick to tones—red with gold, blue with white. Muted base, one bold accent!
