  • How to Choose Traditional Accessories for Different Hanfu Styles?

I really love traditional hanfu accessories, like jade hairpins and gold jewelry, but I’m not sure if they go with every style of hanfu. How do you decide which accessories work best with different hanfu designs? Any advice on picking the right pieces?

Each hanfu style has its own unique look, and the accessories you choose should match that.

    • Tang Dynasty Hanfu: This style is known for its boldness and grandeur, so go for more dramatic accessories. Look for ornate hairpins, golden combs, or embroidered belts. The more intricate, the better!
    • Ming Dynasty Hanfu: The Ming style is all about simplicity and elegance. For accessories, choose simple jade hairpins, delicate gold earrings, and subtle embroidered sashes. The key is to keep things understated and refined.
    • Qing Dynasty Hanfu: Qing accessories are often more elaborate and can be quite lavish. Think pearl-studded hairpins, golden headbands, and layered jewelry. This style is all about opulence and sophistication.

Choosing the right accessories based on the era you’re mimicking will give your hanfu an authentic and historical feel.

Tang? Big jade pendants—bold vibes. Song? Silk fans—sleek and subtle!
