What are the biggest cultural differences between Hanfu and modern clothing? Obviously, they look different, but does this difference affect how they are worn, how people move in them, or how they’re perceived? I’d love to understand more about how these cultural aspects influence the way Hanfu is styled and worn today.

For example, Hanfu’s use of flowing fabric, layered designs, and natural colors is meant to reflect purity, balance, and elegance, whereas modern clothing is usually designed with function in mind—something you can wear easily without much thought. In Hanfu, each detail—whether it’s the arrangement of layers, the way the sleeves hang, or the use of colors—symbolizes harmony with nature and society, creating a deeper connection with the culture.
