  • How Do You Get Ready Quickly When Wearing Hanfu Without the Hassle?

Posted by LushHorizons on February 27, 2025 at 7:50 am

Every time I wear Hanfu, I find the process a bit tricky, especially when it comes to getting everything just right. The belt, the layers, and the way everything needs to be positioned—it feels like there’s always something to fix. I feel like I spend so much time getting it perfect, and sometimes it can be overwhelming. Does anyone have tips on how to make the process of getting dressed in Hanfu easier and faster? Are there any tricks for getting everything in place quickly without making a mess of it? I’d really appreciate hearing how others manage to keep things neat and easy when wearing Hanfu.

Getting ready in Hanfu can feel like a chore, but here’s how to speed things up:

    · Organize everything beforehand: Lay out your Hanfu and accessories in advance. This way, you won’t waste time searching for pieces when you’re ready to put it on. I recommend creating a routine so that you know exactly where everything is and how to put it on step by step.

    · Follow a step-by-step process: Start with the inner layers first, then work your way out. Don’t rush—get the major pieces on first and then focus on the smaller accessories. If you’re unsure of the order, a few practice runs will help you memorize the steps.

    · Practice: The more you practice putting it on, the faster you’ll get at it. After a few times, you’ll have a routine down. It might take a little longer the first few times, but once you’re used to it, you’ll be able to do it in no time.

    · Get help if you need it: If you’re really in a rush or unsure about some parts, don’t hesitate to ask a friend for help. It makes the process go smoother and can save you from the stress of worrying about every detail.

Light cotton Ruqun—loose fit, no tight sashes. Flats over heels, done!

Pre-tie the sash, slip it on—boom, five minutes. Simple hair clip, go!

Two-piece set—easiest to throw on. Skip fancy stuff, still looks good!

Practice once—then it’s shirt, skirt, belt, done. Less panic that way!
