I totally get this—sometimes Hanfu can feel like a bit much when you’re trying to move around a lot. Here’s what I’ve found helps:
· Go for a shorter or simpler style: If you’re planning on walking a lot, don’t go for those super long gowns with tons of layers. They look gorgeous, but can be tricky to manage when you’re on the move.
· Adjust your waist tie: This is super important! If your waist tie is too tight, you’re going to feel restricted. Keep it snug enough to hold everything in place, but don’t overdo it.
· Don’t forget the sleeves: The sleeves can be beautiful, but if they’re too long, they can get in the way. You can either tuck them up a little bit or make sure they’re not dragging. It makes walking way easier!
· Practice at home: It may feel a bit stiff at first, so try walking around in your Hanfu at home. Get a feel for how it moves, and by the time you’re out in public, it won’t feel so overwhelming!
