Hanfu looks stunning, but during the hot summer months, I sometimes feel like it’s too warm to wear them comfortably. The layers and fabric seem to trap the heat. What are some ways to wear Hanfu in the summer without feeling too hot or uncomfortable?

Hanfu can be heavy, and in summer, it might feel a bit too warm. But there are ways to stay cool while still rocking your Hanfu:

Choose lightweight fabrics: Go for natural fabrics like cotton, linen, or silk, which are breathable and light. These materials will keep you cool without sacrificing style. Opt for simpler designs: Skip the multiple layers if you don’t need them. A basic Ruqun or single-layer robe can be airy and comfortable, even on warmer days. Avoid heavy accessories: Keep accessories to a minimum. Too many layers or accessories can make the outfit feel hot and stuffy, so go for simpler, lighter options. Stay in the shade: If you’re attending an outdoor event, try to stay in the shade or bring a parasol to help protect yourself from the sun and keep cool. With these adjustments, you can wear Hanfu comfortably during the summer without feeling overheated!

Stick to light stuff like cotton or linen—keeps you cool. Skip the heavy layers, just rock a simple ruqun and chill!

I just wear the thinnest one I’ve got—less fabric, less sweat! Oh, and loose fits help a ton.

Go for breathable fabrics—silk or cotton’s your friend. One layer’s enough, no need to pile it on in the heat!

Light colors, light stuff—don’t overdo it with extras. You’ll survive summer fine that way!

Pick airy fabrics and ditch the thick layers—looks good and you won’t roast. Easy fix!
