Why are some Hanfu so pricey? I saw one for $200—is that normal?
-
It depends! $200 is fair for detailed embroidery or silk Hanfu—think of it as wearable art. You’re paying for craftsmanship and culture, so it’s a steal for what you get! ✨

I’m a guy and want Hanfu for a photoshoot. What’s a cool style that doesn’t look too feminine?
-
Awesome choice! Try a “daopao” or “yuanlingpao”—they’ve got bold, straight cuts and a warrior-scholar vibe that’s perfect for photos. Dark blues or blacks with a sword prop? You’ll look epic!

Are there Hanfu styles that work for rainy weather? I live in the UK, and it’s wet all the time… ☔
-
Yep! Go for shorter robes like a “banbi” jacket over a skirt—they won’t drag in puddles. Pick darker colors to hide any splashes, and you can even layer a waterproof cloak for extra protection. Stay stylish, rain or shine!

I’ve seen Hanfu with tons of layers. Do I have to wear all of them, or can I keep it simple?
-
You can totally keep it chill! Full layers are traditional, but modern Hanfu is all about flexibility. Start with a basic top and skirt (like a ruqun) and add layers later if you want. It’s your style, your rules!
