How do I accessorize hanfu without going overboard?
4 CommentsView more comments-
Keep it simple, one standout piece like a jade pendant or a fan is enough to elevate the look.
-
I’m obsessed with waist sashes, tie one with a subtle pattern, and it pulls the whole outfit together.

Can kids wear hanfu comfortably?
View more comments-
Totally! Kids’ hanfu is usually shorter and lighter, my niece rocks a mini Song skirt and loves twirling in it.
-
Just avoid super intricate styles for little ones, they’ll complain about too many layers in like five minutes.

It is very different from the elegant and luxurious Tang Dynasty in my mind.hhhh

What’s the vibe of Tang Dynasty hanfu compared to others?
View more comments-
Tang hanfu is all about that bold, glamorous energy, think wide sleeves, vibrant colors, and curves for days!
-
Compared to Song’s chill elegance, Tang’s like “look at me, I’m fabulous”, perfect for standing out.

Stills from the new drama wearing Hanfu, a gold-sprinkled fan paired with Ming Dynasty Hanfu, a true Han-style beauty.

She is so elegant.

Is it hard to wash hanfu at home?
View more comments-
Not too bad if it’s cotton or linen, just hand-wash gently with cold water to keep the colors bright.

I tossed my改良款 in a laundry bag on delicate cycle, came out fine, but don’t try it with silk!

Can I wear hanfu to a music festival?
View more comments-
Heck yeah, but go for a short改良款, less fabric to trip over while you’re dancing!

I wore a Wei-Jin style to a fest last summer, flowy vibes were perfect, but I skipped the long train.
